HIGH COURT PUTTALAM

The Puttalam High Court was established in the year 2006. The official establishment date of the court is 2006.08.18.

The new High Court of Puttalam was declared open on 18th August 2006 by Hon. Sarath N. Silva, Chief Justice of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, marking a significant milestone in the judicial history of the region.

2006.08.18 – Opening Ceremony

  • The Puttalam High Court was formally established and declared open.
  • Opened by Hon. Sarath N. Silva, Chief Justice of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
  • The opening was held on the invitation of Hon. Amarasiri Dodangoda, Minister of Justice and Law Reforms.
  • Distinguished participants included Hon. Milroy Fernando, Hon. Dilan Perera, Hon. D.M. Dassanayake, and Hon. Dayashrita Tissera.
